Lila's Journey

All my life I’ve asked ‘what if’, ‘why’, ‘why not’, etc.  Taking piano lessons for 12 years,  my piano professor  in exasperation told my dear mom that she was wasting her money because I wanted to play the way I wanted to play.  (I had been trying to tell her that for 11 years!)  There were just so many other ways to play a piece  of music than the way it was written!
I asked myself what I would name myself if I could name myself anything I wanted.  I’d name myself Lila  (pronounced LIE-luh ).  Lila is such a strong, southern name.  Life is such a journey and now, hitting my fifties has been the most freeing of the whole ride.  It’s a gift to have time to devote to art now that the nest is empty.  Making art that makes others smile, giggle and reflect is a gift from God that I continually  rip open with abandon.
Thank you for your curiosity.

Joyful Journey,
Susan  (AKA Lila
