Lila's Journey by Susan ConwellStoriesSusan grew up in a family of artists. Her mom was a self-taught artist, as were her aunts, a couple of cousins and her grandmother. Growing up around the arts was a natural thing in her family. An aunt played the cello for a symphony, while an uncle was a writer, another cousin is a composer and lyricist. Susan has taken some art classes in and out of college and always felt fulfilled when experimenting with color, texture and design. Her degree in Social Work lead her on a path that allowed her to be in a position to serve others. While the Social Services arena proved satisfying, Administration in the Retirement industry has been where she has spent the majority of her working years. After their little girl chicks flew the nest her husband encouraged her to explore other avenues that God might have for her in this new phase of life. Susan says, “It is my desire to honor God with every creative thought or action and to allow him to show me what is next on this journey” As Helen Keller said, “Life is either a daring Let the journey continue...
